Festival Chair
Celia Pearce is a game designer, artist, curator, scholar, author, teacher and
serial instigator. She has a “day gig” as an Associate Professor of Game Studies
at Northeastern University in Boston, where she helped launch their BFA in
Games. She has authored, co-authored or co-edited four books, including
Communities of Play, as well as numerous papers and book chapters. Her
games have been exhibited at Smithsonian Arcade, Come Out & Play, Different
Games, and Boston Festival of Independent Games, among others. She has
also been active in a number of diversity initiatives. She is co-founder and
Festival Chair of IndieCade.
